Update on Harry

Post by craig sinclai » Mon, 16 Jul 2001 09:07:30

Some af you may recall that a few weeks ago I posted a message regarding the
fact that Harry, my black Labrador has an osteosarcoma and has been given
between 3-5 months.Well, at the moment he is doing fine. Ha appears to have
no pain, and oddly, the affected area on his skull is not at all tender, and
it certainly was a few weeks ago. We made one of our visits to a local home
whose residents have Cerebral Palsy on Thursday, and he did fine. I hope
it's not the last one we make. He is a registered PAT dog, we have been
going for about 3 years. I told the folks what happening, I thought it best.
I want to say Thankyou to the kind people who responded at the time. I am so
glad we did'nt take the surgical route, I am now sure it would have been a
mistake. I was so glad of the group when I was first told about Harry, it
definately helped me through a tough time, and I am very grateful. There are
some very special people out there!
Kind Regards,
Craig.

<attrib>It was ... two hours in which he might have done so much, so
much -- written the perfect poem, for example, or read the one

chose to post to alt.pets.dogs.labrador:</attrib>

Continued prayers, then, and well-wishes.  Give him a hug
for me, will you?

If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has
not achieved, and never will achieve, its full potential, that word
would be: "meetings."

I am glad to hear Harry is fine and got to do something I'm sure he loves
again.
I think you made the right choice too. Enjoy the time. You and Harry deserve
it.
