In my attempt to prove that:

(geek+doglover)Xsparetime=trouble

I've put together a new web site:

http://www.frenchbulldogfun.com

So far, we have Java games, including the infamous
French Bulldog version of Whack-A-Mole,
postcards, screensavers, recipes, crossword and
jigsaw puzzles, shopping and other Frenchie themed
time wasters. Look for the totally bizarro yet
fascinating Flash based virtual Frenchie dog park
chat room coming soon, along with "Evade the Vet",
and "How to Tell a Frenchie from a Golden".

Java based browser,Flash Plug in, lots of bandwidth,
and an enormous amount of expandable time
required to view.

Jiminny Crickets, Carol!  You have *way* too much time on your
hands!  :)

Canuck to Canuck (everyone else ***out): this was a project
that should have been done during mid-winter while the snowshoes
were drying and the sled dogs were warming your bed.

Huh. Tessa sez:

Ha! So do I. Frenchies is cute and adorable, while
Goldens is pointy nosed with stoopid bits of fluff on
their butts and stinky duck breath.

So there.

Actually, I wrote it while sitting up nights feeding puppies....

If I had another litter coming up, I'm pretty sure I could
finally master Perl....

Agreed.
Now, if I could just convince Tessa to not throw off the whack-a-dog
game in the end, I'd be happy.
I was doing 100% fine, until Tessa decided to speed things up a bit.

Yeah, rumors of my death have been greatly exagerated and all of that.
It's amazing how much school, a divorce, two kids, and some dogs can
get in the way of the really important things in life, like Usenet.

It's sooo wierd! I haven't been on the newsgroups in almost 2 yrs, and
yet the same things are still true - Jerry Howe is still insane,
ZenDoof still says his book is coming out "any day now", the MiKi-ers
are still claiming their shaved little mutts are a breed, and people
still post wanting to know where they can find a nice stud dog for
Fluffy. I haven't seen one of InsaneElaine's insufferable reposts, but
I have the sick feeling they're still floating around out there in the
ether....

"Plus ca change, plus le meme chose"

I actually had sorta assumed that, with all the net revolutions,  the
newsgroups would be pretty much abandoned, and it does seem that the
signal to noise ratio has improved some.

I have a new web site now, pointy heads, so I'd be watching my fluffy
little behinds come April if I were you....

Tessa, SWMBO

Mom says: I've never recovered from the fall out of the one I did a
few years back. I must have gotten about ten angry emails from people
who really did think I was crossing Goldens with Frenchies....

What can I say - she's always been pretty speedy
for a French Bulldog.....

The Flash stuff is almost done, and I'm looking
forward to annoying an entire new contingent of
Golden owners.... (With help from a certain
anonymous Fluffy butted co-conspirator).

Lucky me - I have the new version of Newswatcher,
which *finally* has filters. Bye bye Petey and
Scritto posts....
