Outside of a dog, man's best friend is a book.
Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

LOL!  Silly Melanie.

It's _not_ the MCEHASDNELACC Club!

It's the

IWBRTWUSAIARYAMSAYLIAPTAP Club!

Better known as:

It Would Be Responsible To Wait Until Solo's Aggression Issues Are Resolved,
You Are More Settled and You Live In a Place That Allows Pets Club.

But yes, I agree with you, puppies ARE adorable at that age :)

Hehe - I visited a litter of 7 week old Basenji babies. They've hit the
"cute but evil" stage, from whence I believe they shall not return until
about the age of 7 or 8 years. Friends of mine sort of breed together, each
bred a litter and are bringing them up together. So that means 11, yes 11
Basenji puppies in one place.

EEEAAAAHHHHHHHIIEEEE!

Boy, there were fun. And I might be showing one! Weee!

Sigh.  It's at least 20 years until I retire.  Puppy breath
will have to wait until then.

Unless, of course I win a lottery somewhere.  I think we should
start a special lottery game for "People Who Want Puppies But
Can't Have One Because We Work Full Time". Anybody want to
buy a ticket?

I work full time and I'm getting puppy... OK, I'll be honest... I work full
time but I bring my dog to work with me!  I already have one beautiful dog,
Jedda.  I got her at 7 months (pound puppy) and she's been coming into work
with me ever since (over 12 months now).  I work for my dad.  We have a
small factory unit with a mezzanine office in which I spend most of my time.
Jedda spends most of her day either with me or downstairs looking out the
window or, her favourite thing, greeting visitors!  It may not be as ideal
as, say, running through grassy fields but she isn't lonely and is
incredibly well socialised.

Now I'm waiting with baited breath for my newest addition - a baby whippet!
I've not had a baby puppy before (all of our dogs have been either older
pound puppies or hand-me-downs) so it's sure to be an adventure!  One thing
I'm sure of is that the puppy will have lots of love and attention from me,
Jedda and our visitors!

Forget the lottery - can I come work for your Dad?

:-)

(and congrats on the soon to be addition)
