All I can say is....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
THIS from the woman who thinks that people who advertise on the internet are
the equivalent of Doggy-AntiChrists? This is really RICH!!
What happened to all of those "buyers lines up" that you brag about Nancy?
I knew it was only a matter of time before you fell from your self appointed
pedestal. Did you hurt yourself in the fall? Your halo is pretty tarnished
and a little askew, too, hon. Maybe you better clean it up a bit.
God this is hilarious!
Nancy.......internet advertiser, who according to her own words about
internet advertisers......makes her a BACKYARD BREEDER, or worse yet,  A
PUPPYMILL!

I haven't visited the site which you are referencing, so I don't know what the
reason for somebody to list their "kennel" information on that site is.
However, I do know that there are resources listed in various forums and places
for breed information.  For example, some of the All-Breed Kennel Clubs publish
so-called Breeder Directories which cover the gamut from listing people who
occasionally have litters to people who have experience in the breed and are
willing to give out breed information to people who have contacts in rescue of
a particular breed.

This doesn't directly comment to Nancy's listing, if she wants to, she can
address that herself.  But, I thought that this should be pointed out because
it would be premature to assume that anyone who lists a kennel name on a public
internet site is necessarily advertising puppies for sale and that such
listings constitute an irresponsible breeder.  I do not think it does.

A few years ago one of these "breeders listing" sites was listing people from the
PWDCA, having gotten their names and info from the club directory. The people
listed had no idea they were on there.

Additionally, I posted an add for an anticipated litter over a year ago, got NO
flack from Nancy (or anyone else) whatsoever.

It proves no such thing to me.  There is a world of difference between
being listed in a breeders' directory and coming onto a discussion group
to flog pups to any taker.

Would you assume that I am some kind of non-reputable breeder because my
contact information is listed on various breed and rescue web sites, or
even in show results on infodog.com?  I hardly think so.

Sorry, but this looks like a petty attack on someone you have a personal
issue with.

I too find myself listed in a couple of breeds and in several forums.
Probably several more I am not even aware of. If one is active in a
breed or breeds and has shown and finished many champions it would not
surprise me to find someone on these lists without having advertised.
Same with those who are into other areas of the dog fancy.  If you
also do rescue then one's name will appear in even more areas of
course. Names may be aquired from many sources obviously and anyone
wishing to put a Breeders List page together has unlimited resources
on the internet these days and make up a pretty comprehensive list
without ever contacting the people or kennels who make up that list. I
was involved in several breeds over about a 40  year period and
finished 39 or so champions in those breeds, and only bred 12 litters.
My last litter of Danes was bred in 1982 yet I still get emails from
people about Danes, so I know my name is still out there in cyperspace
as someone to contact. Do I mind? No. Rather give someone correct
information than have them contact people with fancy web pages, who
breed every year, don't test, don't show - and in fact do little
except breed. And we all know what they are called don't we?

Heh heh, well the only dog I ever bred was when I was a child - more than
a few years ago.  Still I get two or three e-mails a month asking for
information about my . . . .  (you name the breed).  Truly amazing.  These
people are seriously thinking they are asking a breeder and so far none
can recall just exactly where they got my name and e-mail.  They say that
they just found me listed some place when they searched the net.  For a
while I was tempted to try to track down the source and get them to knock
it off then I decided that I had an unbeatable opportunity to educate so
that is what I do  instead (starting with - Don't you want to know
something more than how much and when can I send it?)

Based upon my experience I try to be cautious about what conclusions I
come to when I see information posted.

Please note that breeders.net and several
other web sites have taken to posting
listing of dog breeders *without* the
breeder's permission - or even knowledge,
in many cases.

One was using information on Bulldog
breeders that was almost five years out
of date - one of the breeders listed was
*dead*.

God only knows where they are getting
their info from...

You know, Trish, it doesn't surprise me in the *least* that you don't know the
difference between being listed as a breed referral... and peddling puppies  to
anyone with enough cash.

After all, *you* think of *yourself* as a "reputable breeder" !

I *double* dare you to list an actual site where Nancy herself has posted a
"puppies for sale" adverti***t.

Happy hunting!

What prompted you to get out of breeding?  I'd *really* like to
know...............................

Does this mean that you sold that last litter of black x black puppies out of
pet quality parents with no health clearances/guarantees whatsoever?    How old
would they be now.... 12 weeks?

Did you manage to turn a profit *this* time?
