Bugs juice for dogs?

Is there such a thing? The mosquitos are VERY bad this year in the high
country of Colorado and I spend alot of time with Echo in the mountains.
He loves to hike and camp, carries his own pack etc. But, when we were
in the woods for 4 days over July 4th, the mosquitos were so bad it drove
both of us nuts. I use Deet for myself, but I am hesitant to use it
on Echo, since he could*** it right off.

Any ideas on an insect repellant that is save for dogs? Citronella doesn't
do a thing, BTW.

if you use a flea spray on the dog, it will help keep the skeeters off.
but it needs to be safe and compatible w/ program or frontine or advantage
if you use those.  if you don't use any of them, i am told tht bio-spot
will keep skeeters at bay.
or you can try avon skin so soft oil in an atomizer (messy tho)
or get some of the fly spray they use on horses and check to see if it's
safe for dogs.
if the weather is not ghastly hot, you can spray a tee-shirt with off or
cutter and put it on the pooch.  a human shirt - gather the excess with a
pony tail holder.  this does work and keeps the spray off of the dog.
