I haven't tuned in for a few days and was delighted to see
the new groups ... except I can't get r.p.d.behavior or
r.p.d.rescue.   Have these not started yet, or am I just
missing out?

Behavior, at least, has started up.  I don't know about Rescue.  Maybe
your newsreader doesn't get them?

Both have started up. I happened to be logged in when they were adding
the new groups at my sight, and they all came in within seconds or
minutes of each other. Perhaps your site hasn't subscribed to them? You
may want to contact your sysadmin if they aren't added within the next
few days.
