Left onto Vine Rd. at Shell gas station (next to Kehoe's Turn of River

2nd right off vine is Pepper Ridge Road.
Shelter is 1 1/2 mi. down on right.

Dear Roger,

You should now be in possesion of THE NEW ENGLAND OLD ENGLISH SHEEPDOG
CLUB, INC. 1998 Northeast All Breed Rescue List.  This afternoon, I
received a call from a rescue group in Connecticut, that told me, the
CONNECTICUT HUMANE SOCIETY, would put dogs *down*, before turning them
over to a *Rescue Group*.  Please advise me, if this statement is true.

Bruce - if this *is* true then the *best* method to save the dogs is IMO to
try and keep watch through folks like Roger and refer potential adopters
directly to the shelter - with admonitions to let the shelter know they
were referred by rescue! This can build the relationship needed to a better
one for all concerned - especially the dogs! It has worked for me (and many
a dog) in the past anyhow.
