Nails Nail New Car

Hi.

Can anyone help me with this problem?
Our dog, Buddy, loves to go riding in the car at any chance. Unfortunately we
recently discovered that he has left deep marks in the new vinyl when he props
himself up to look out the window.
His nails had been clipped, but they continue to be a problem.
I've heard some creative solutions such as having him wear booties when he
rides.
Any other thoughts or ideas?
thank you

ED

Seat covers, such as the fake lambswool, real thick.

Uh, how about not allowing him to stand up with his paws on
your vinyl?  :-)  It's not safe for a dog to be loose in the
car anyway -- he should be in a crate.  Not only is it not
safe for him if you have an accident, but having a big loose
object in the car is not safe for you either, or your
passenger(s).  The last thing you need while trying to keep
from flying off the road after somebody hits you is to have a
dog land in your lap or on your head...

How 'bout one of those doggie seat-belts? He'd be safely restrained, and hopefully
you could hook it up in such a way so that he can't reach the window...
I use them for my IG's, I'm quite happy with them.
