Thanks to all of you kind people who gave us advice on what might be wrong
with our little Sonny. He is no longer with us.
I know he is in Puppy Heaven chasing his tail like he did before he got
We took him to several vets and after $600.00 later we decided to have
him put to sleep. Not because we couldn't afford the further test but
because he was in such pain and poor shape.
The prognosis was canine distemper.
Please if any of you rescue a puppy from the pound make sure that
they're taken to a vet immediately no matter what the Humane Society tells
you they have given him. I just can't believe that they (Humane Society)
actually gave him(SONNY) the shots that were listed.
From day one we noticed problems with him but we were determined to save
our baby boy.
For couples who's only child was an adopted puppy we are really doubious
of the work ethics of city employed salary garnishing uncaring people. They
were more concerned as to whether Sonny was nuetered than his health.
Please forgive my bitterness. I can only imagine what it would have been
like to lose a lifelong companion.
Sure I've lost buddies but I've never had to chose their place and time
to die. This sucks!!!
My first puppy,
GREG 25 years old
