by Our 6 yr old lab mix has just been diagnosed with liver trouble. The
*** panel showed elevations which would point to Cirohsis, tumors, or
blocked bile duct. Sorry, but I can't remember exactly what was
elevated. We are now deciding whether or not to have an ultra-sound/liver
biopsy done at Purdue Vet School. She is currently on amoxicilin, pred.,
and k/d food, and tagamet 200. Even though she hasn't been able to keep
anything solid down for several days, her energy level is still high, and
she doesn't seem to be feeling unwell. What I was wondering is if anyone
knows the possible treatments for cirohsis (sp?) and/or liver tumors, and
the likely prognosis. Our vet doesn't think it looks very hopeful.
