Moon's Graden

I am taking  care of my roomates' two dogs while they are on vacation for
a week.  The one dog, a Borzoi, crys and barks ALL NIGHT LONG!  I can't
take it.  I had to get up and leave MY OWN APARTMENT at 1:30 AM and wake
a friend to let me stay the night.  Clearly this cannot go on another
night.  Being that this is Sunday the normal vet is closed, I am not
willing to spend $200 to get tranquilizers for someone else's dog at the
emergency vet.  Can I give him wine, wiskey or even Nitall?  Also if you can
help, The other dog has severe scabbing behind her ear.  I happened to
see the evil Borzoi attack her over a biscuit-is there a rash or some
other skin problem that causes scabbing or can I assume that the devil
dog attacked her?  Please e-mail me w/suggestions.
