Rescued Dogs in North Georgia Need Good Homes!

Hi! We're moving from Georgia to Austria and we need to find good homes for
our dogs. They are all rescued. We work with Pickens Animal Rescue in North
Georgia, but now our dogs are the ones needing homes. I have pics of them

Gizmo- An Australian Shephaerd Mix. 15 weeks old and has all his shots
including rabies. He weighs 21 lbs. right now and will be a med-large dog.
He is my baby! I want so much to take him with me, but with the plane trip
and quarantine, I'm afraid I just can't. He gets along well with other dogs
and LOVES cats. He is housebroken too. Gizmo was rescued from a family who
wouldn't feed their dogs at all and he was starving and very pitiful. Two of
his brother died, but he is very healthy now!

Wyatt- Male. Black & white lab mix. About 10 months old. Wyatt and his
brother Doc were rescued from being dumped in a graveyard when they were 6
weeks old. He is a medium-sized dog. Very sweet, and very calm. Housebroken
also, but stays outside in a fenced yard most of the time.

Doc- Wyatt's brother. Doc is smaller and looks to be part pit bull. He is
does not get along well with Wyatt and they need seperate homes. He's
perfectly fine with out other dogs though. Sibling Rivalry I guess. He is 10
months old and had all his shots. Both Doc and Wyatt are fairly well
trained. They sit and come when you call them and such.

Janie- Female. Looks to be a hound dog of some sorts. Black and White.
Approx 8 months old. She was left in a box in the back of a grocery store.
She is the leader of the rest of the dogs. Very motherly. Janie has been
outside in a fenced yard since we got her, so her training is lacking. I
believe she would make a good hunting or watch dog.

If you are interested and live in the North Atlanta area, please eMail me.
We have to leave Nov.2nd for Austria.

Thank you for looking!
Anett

If you are serious about wanting to take Gizmo, and if you mean Austria
and not Australia, I don't *believe* Austria has a quarantine, unlike
Britain and the Scandinavian countries.  The plane trip is a
consideration, but 8 week-old puppies have been sent from Australia to
North America and arrived happy and healthy.  Our 2 year-old dog had to
spend 35 straight hours in a crate on the 3-flight trip from Canberra to
Denver (poor boy!) but he was fine, if tired and hungry, as soon as he
got out.  In fact, he lunged for a bunny outside the United Cargo
building before he got around to peeing.
