wetting the bed

Post by jen » Thu, 10 Jun 1999 04:00:00

My busky (beagle/husky) has wet the bed (and I don't mean a trickle) about a
6 times in the last year.  She's 9, but acts like she's 2.

Is she just dreaming?  The first time it happened we were on vacation and
she'd been trapsing (sp?) through the UP woods of Michigan.  I.E., she was
exhausted.  I'm not sure about extra exercize other times, but it's
possible.

Is this normal?

If it isn't a urinary tract infection (a vet needs to check for this
first) then it is probably just old age incontinence.   Usually, a
very cheap medication called phenylpropamine stops the
incontinence problem completely and there is no need to put the dog on
hormones.  So take the dog to a vet.
