thought my days of adventures were gone forever the day Quark died. Today
began pretty innocently. I got loaded Charm and Chrystal, and started my van.
The transmission seemed to be slipping, so I made a mental note to have it
checked tomorrow, and drove off to meet my training buddies. We got there just
fine, and I put it out of my mind, had a lovely time training and sharing with
my friends and our dogs, and then had to leave to groom one of Charm's other
pup's. Put it into drive, and it slipped a bit. My friends warned me to
check the transmission fluid, I agreed, and drove off. It seemed funny, REALLY
funny when the white plumes of smoke started to come out of the exhaust on the
freeway. I got off, and pulled into a Target store. Called AAA, and mentioned
I had dogs and birds with me. He laughed, I am SURE not understanding, and
sent someone out to rescue us.
Sometime later, a tow truck came by and I flagged him over. I explained our
plight, and he agreed that the dogs should come into the cab of his BIG huge
truck. So, that was my adventure. 45 minutes in a big truck, Charm on my lap,
Chrystal in his lap, as he told me about his springer spaniel, his best buddy
in the world!
Oh, does anyone have a spare set of wheels:)
