I have a 9 1/2 old black lab.  He weighs 74 pounds.  Many people tell me he
looks fat.  He eats 4 cups of Iams puppy food a day.  I do not give him any
table food.  He gets plenty of exercise.  At least one walk a day and
sometimes up to 3 walks a day.  I do give him some biscuits, pig ears,
carrots, apples but not every day.  How much should one feed a dog of this
size.  I am thinking of going on *** food soon.

Did you really mean "puppy food" or was that a typo??Because there is a ton
of fat in puppy food, and as a dog gets older,it becomes more difficult for
them to digest puppy food, plus its all just empty calories that he just
doesn't need.At 9 1/2 years old,if anything ,he should be on lite or senior
dog food.

Why is he on puppy food at 9.5 years?  He should have been off of that 8
or 9 years ago!  Switching to *** food may make the difference.

How 'bout 9.5 MONTHS? now, THAT makes sense--he's still on puppy food,
thinking about switching to ***. 9.5 months fits that description.....
