Seeking Source of Brucellosis Test Kit

Post by bba.. » Sun, 18 Feb 1996 04:00:00

My wife and I are dog breeders.  In the past we have had our dogs screened for Brucellosis by the
vet with an in-office screening test.  (Brucellosis is a canine venerial disease, and can also infect humans.
Treatment is difficult, uncertain, and expensive)  The company which used to manufacture the test kit has been
sold to Mallencroft (sp?) and I am told by my vet that he can no longer get the kit.  As a result, tests must now be
done by a lab, which is both more time consuming (travel time, weekends, mixups, etc) and expensive.

If anyone out there knows if there is an in-office Brucellosis screening kit being manufactured, I would sincerely
appreciate the information.  I will post the results and any significant dialog.

Thanks In Advance,
