When you ask for gardening advice on rec.gardens, be sure and state your climate

Just a reminder:

When you ask for gardening advise on a group like rec.gardens,
you really need to state what part of the world in which you are
gardening.  If you can also state the specific USDA Zone, or
Sunset Western Climate Zone, then this is also very helpful.

I've been looking at many questions today, a large number of
which I bet I've been able to answer, but since I did not have the
above information, I just skipped over some of them.  There are a
lot of very knowledgeable people looking at this newsgroup, but
they cannot help without specifics.  Or we end up seeing lots of
'bad' advice, only because it is not climate appropriate.

For those of you in mild, Mediterranean (or similar) climates,
there is the Medit-Plants discussion group, hosted by

year ago because I wanted to focus only on those topics/discussions
that were relevant to our special climate considerations.  If you
want more info about this discussion, please let me know.
