Will black chokeberry nipped off by rabbit regrow?

Or should I dig it up and reuse the topsoil-filled hole for another
one?

Rabbits have left varying size chokeberry seedlings standing.

Current anti-rabbit plan is to put gallon milk cartons with the
bottom cut off over each remaining seedling, with the seedling
poking out the top if it's big enough, so at least it can't
be nipped to the ground.
