Possibly sick rabbit, please help!

Post by SteveSt » Thu, 17 Jun 1999 04:00:00

I own a two year old Mini-Lop, and I notice that he has been shedding an awful
lot and has bare patches on the top of his feet and on his legs.  His pads are
dry and sometimes raw, and instead of regular looking pads, they look like
fingers, and his feet are very long and hairless.  Do you what could be going
on?
Thanks for your help!

It sounds like something that needs to be seen by a vet.  It is possible he has
fleas, fur or skin mites, and this is causing the hair loss.  Is he***ing the
areas alot or biting at them?  This could be a sign of fur mites.  It may be
dietary in part also.  I think that the best advice would be to get him to a
good bunny vet ASAP.
Good luck and please keep us updated:)
