the lump could very well be a hernia..where part of the intestine would
protrude through a weakness in the abdominal muscle, or he could possibly
have an abscess in that area..although i don't know how often pasturella
will abscess on the underside like that-it's more likely to show up on
the top of the animals body or in the thorasic cavity (around the heart
and lungs).  I would take the little guy to another vet and get a second
opinion.

god it wasn't cancer.my specialist said take nothing for granted have
tgem removed.
