Someone please help!  I'll try to make a long story short...I've had Pete
(my mini lop) for about a year now.  In November, I bought him a friend
(Emily).  I had Emily for about 3 months as a baby, and she started
sneezing all the time, and had lots of mucus in her nose.  I had no idea
what it was, or even that it was bad until she died in January at only 1.5
pounds!  Now I'm completely paranoid about Pete!  He sneezed twice and had
a slightly runny eye and I brought him right to the vet.  They gave me
ciprofloxacin and he got better.  Then i took him on a weekend trip to my
mothers 3 hours away, and i know that can be a little stressful, but i
took him to the vet before hand just to make sure the trip would be okay,
and they said he was "a very healthy rabbit".  When i got back he started
his eye running again a bit, so i refilled his prescription.  I feel like
a crazy rabbit owner!  His runny eye is a bit red, and he sneezes once in
a while, but not much.  He seems to be scratching at his right ear a lot,
but the vet told me it was totally clear.  He doesn't have a loss in
appetite, and he doesn't seem to have much of a change in activity (he
usually just lays under my couch).  I can't help but obsess over him.  I
constantly check his eye, i weigh him almost every day to make sure he's
still average weight (even though he does feel a bit bonier than usual,
but he still weights a healthy 6.5 pounds).  I don't know what to do!  I
love my bunny, but i feel like this obsession is controlling my life!  I'm
constantly afraid he's going to die!  What should i do?!

do you know if your vet is rabbit savy?  if he is then i would feel more
confident in his diagnosis. go to arlette's website and see if your vet is
listed (www.rabbitvet.net)   did your vet check his teeth?  sometimes eye
problems are indicators of a tooth problem.  try looking thru the medical
articles on www.rabbit.org

i believe (but i'm not sure) that sneezing could be pasturella.  i'm sure
someone else here will pipe in with better info.  ronie?  the ear thing
could just be wax.  my rabbits are always picking at their ears.  you're
probably reading a lot more into it than you should.
