Zoe has forgiven me!

Post by T. Mitchel » Sat, 19 Jan 2002 20:20:33

Yeah!!  I finally got a bunny kiss!  I was feeling really dejected---Zoe
sulked for a whole week after her spay and had EVERYbody sucking up to her,
including my parents.

My folks stopped by Tuesday evening for a quick visit and my father
committed the ultimate, unpardonable sin against Zoe----he did not greet her
when he arrived.  Instead, he played with those darn dogs!  She about faced
and pointed her nose to the corner and sat for the rest of their visit.  It
was so funny!

He went out to start the van as my mother was giving my daughters hugs &
kisses. Before mom left, I told her to look at Zoe and explained why she had
placed herself in **time out**.  About a minute later, I heard the front
door open.  I found my dad apologizing to Zoe and offering her craisins!
She ate out of his hand, then she went back to sit in her corner!

I started ignoring her sulking episodes and acknowledging  the times she
greeted me for veggies-----hey, it worked for my kids!   It has been a long
week being in her bad graces.   I hope she doesn't get grumpy all over again
when we return to the vet next week to have her stitches removed.

Nothing like bunny forgiveness, eh, Teresa?

I don't know if they forgive or just forget to be mad.

Pinky really played the "why-did-you-hurt-me" trop to the max after her
spay.

She looked so wronged.

She didn't get mad, she just pulled a guilt trip on me.
