Hi Guys,
I just jumped on the bandwagon for suggestions.  I went to the local AAA and
got a book on campgrounds and lodgings in the Lake George, NY area.  I was
hoping that the campground would be one that would accommodate both tents &
RVs.  I would like to take an RV, but if I can only get a tent, so be it.
There are alot of campgrounds in the area.  So locals, can you guide me?

So far the ones that sound good are the ones with water & sewer hook-up for
those of us who need it.  That would leave out all "public" campground that are
government/state owned.

Here are some sites of the campgrounds I thought would suit the needs of any
type of camper:  Rates are from  $10-30/nite for the tight budgeted people like
me.  I'm sure there will be room in tents/campers if you need a place to stay;

2) http://www.moonsgarden.com/
3) http://www.moonsgarden.com/
4) http://www.moonsgarden.com/

Some are on a river, some are a short distance from Lake George by car.

Once we have the campground picked out, we can look for hotels/motels.  So far
I found 2 in the Lake George Area that accept pets.  They are:
1) Green Haven Resort Motel - 1 Diamond - $55.00/nite - 3136 Lake Shore Dr
12845
2) Balm***Motel - 2 Diamonds - $58-88/nite + $10.00 for pet - 444 Canada St.

1) Can I get a head count again as to how many people are interested in going?
2) And how you would like to accommodate yourself - camping/motel?
3) Who would like to be on the planning committee? (if you can't don't worry, I
know work/school/kids/family/rabbits/life can be very busy)

Soooooooo E***d - Can you tell?!?!?!?!

Ronie,

I'm definitely going because I need this kind of insanity in my life!  I've
called my best friend's girlfriend and arranged to borrow a tent from her.
She says its HUGE and easy to put up so I potentially have some room to
spare for anyone with a sleeping bag and pad.

I am wavering on bringing Daisy.  On one hand I want everyone to meet my
sweet, sulky bunny-with-attitude, and on the other hand she HATES moving,
HATES traveling, HATES being caged and gets nervous when she hears dogs
barking outside.  So I'm not sure how she'd do in the great outdoors.

I have no preference on campgrounds and will, most likely travel up from NYC
with Nona in a rental car.

I'm also e***d but I keep thinking this is nuts.  I don't even like
camping so you all must be pretty special to tempt me away from the
"civilization" of NYC!!!!

Gillian and Daisy (going somewhere???? CAMPING???????!!!!)

Nonsense - just come on up in my car. Gillian,I feel the same way about Jess.
He has had very  limited exposure to the outside world and it makes me kind of
nervous the thought of bringing him - we'll see :)

I'd love to show him off though - lol

Very nicely done!
I got to thinking after reading about Snowball, I am almost positive
that you know now that rabbits do not have a heat cycle, and that red
urine goes with a high hay diet, and is perfectly normal and harmless
AND that some vets are idiots.

As I said I relise that you now know this, but thought I would say it
anyway, for those who might not know it, I think Ann B will varifie
this.
