Our little rabbit enjoys nibbling on newspaper. Is this bad for him?
Also we need some advice on long nails.. How do you clip them, is it
necessary? Is there something we can give him to scratch?
                                                Thanks in advance

Newspaper nibbling, in moderation, should be fine.  If he's eating a lot of
it, then you'll want to limit contact.  The problem would be that it could
build up in his stomach, just like carpet, hair, etc.  I think most, if not
all, newspapers now use non-toxic, non-lead inks nowdays.

As for the nails, they will need a clipping.  The first time around you might
want to have your vet show you how it works.  There are many different kinds
of clippers but I use the D-shaped dog clippers.  Make sure you don't cut into
the pink part of the nail.  If you do, the rabbit will bleed, so you need to
apply pressure; if the bleeding doesn't stop after a minute or so, apply Quick
Stop or use a styptic pencil.

I'm told it will but that corn starch is even better.  Almost anything to
constrict the flow and allow the *** to clot is good as long as it's not
harmful.
