Maybe, maybe some improvement in Nudge/ head-tilt

Post by Ayr » Sat, 12 Dec 1998 04:00:00

Yesterday, I think, I think.....I noticed Nudge falling less and being able to
hop around without the constant rolling!!!!  Today, my daughter commented
"Nudge must be getting better.....he jumped over his food bowl and didn't fall"

His head is still way, way sideways.....but, but..........it's been three weeks
into antibiotics. Keep you fingers crossed, please!!!!  Keep those bunny
prayers flowing!!!

The only thing different was [please excuse the weirdness of this]  Wednesday,
I held him and laid my hands on him like a "healer" would.  I concentrated.  I
sent healing, intense thoughts through my hands into Nudge.  I couldn't think
of anything else to do.  I know many fellow nurses into "healing touch" and
thought, who knows???

Thanks for understanding - there is no one else in the WORLD I would tell this
to, other than our bunny gang.  Thanks.

Linda -

Plenty of healing vibes are coming your way.  It's so hard to have a sick
little one - I should know.  Whatever you're doing, you must be doing it right
- keep it up.

Good luck!

Hi Linda

I am SO GLAD to hear that Nudge is feeling a little better.  I, also, am a believer
in the power of the "healing touch".  You keep on doing it!

Our good healthy bunny thoughts and prayers are still going your way.  I think of
you guys all the time.

I've heard that laughter is also good medicine, so here's a joke.

Q: What kind of fruit is never lonely?
A: Pears.

Take care!

Linda--

I don't doubt for a second that your healing touch helped little Nudge.
There have been numerous worthwhile studies that have shown that touch
in and of itself IS healing.  For people, anyway.  Why not buns?

Love to Nudge. Hang in there, little fuzzy.  Nona

Dear Linda,

You do what you need to do.  Rest assured, we love you with all our
hearts.  I can only believe that our wishes, hands, thoughts, and prayers
are felt and our little ones respond somehow, if only to be comforted.
Comfort alone is a most precious jewel.

I am so glad to hear some positive news about Nudge.  Please know that we
here in this household wish your little bunny continued improvement.  We
send mountains of love.

Maybe the Candle Ceremony helped too...

Linda, don't be embarrassed about offering your bunny "healing touch,"
especially when you consider that rabbits do not communicate with words, and
that touch must be so important to them.  I'm sure it is helping in Nudge's
recovery.

I offer hope and prayers for this to be just the beginning for Nudge, and that
he will get better and better from now on.

I prefer the term "loving touch" - bunnies, no matter how much you love,
indulge and spoil them, always get so insecure if you don't pet them for two
seconds - they think you don't love them anymore (they don't call them dumb
bunnies for nothing!)! Holding and petting a sick bunny is so important - I
know with my bunnies - they always seem to recover faster if I pet and play
with them for long periods of time - it's as if they finally figured out
they're loved and have something to live for! :-)

So keep petting Nudge - I hope he gets better very fast (these things take at
least a month to go away) - it always helps - but wait til he gets better -
he'll demand for all that extra affection from you all the time!

Harry the bunny hugger :-)

Linda,

What wonderful news about Nudge.  Even if he never gets completely "upright"
to have him able to hop around and be a happy mobile bunny will be a real
joy.  Lots of good bunny vibes coming your way.

lazy--imagine a virtual dance here . . .)

Linda,
I read this with such exhilleration!  I am hoping so much that Nudge makes it.
Any improvement is good IMHO.  One must take baby steps before running.

During one of Rabby's bouts with pneumonia things were not going well at all.
Her breathing was terrible, she would just sit all hunched up and was dropping
weight quickly.  Each night I would flip her over and lay her on my lap so she
could at least stretch and relax a little.  I also believed being on her back
helped her breathing.  I would just pet and stroke her and kind of stretch her
legs.  Once I started doing this she started to improve.  I can't say
scientificly that this helped, but in my heart I know she would not have made
it if I didn't do this.  She survived and lived another year.

Keep your hopes high!

Jaci      (please remove NOSPAM to e-mail...thanks)

Linda,
Cocoa, Punkin and I are crossing fingers and paws and praying really hard!!
What good news for you and Nudge.
I do believe that things such as therapeutic touch can help, when used with
medical therapies.  There is so much we don't understand and can't explain.
Bunnies communicate with touch, so maybe he really did get something from what
you did.
Keep it up Nudge!!

I am also hoping and praying for Nudge's return to good health. Even human
babies thrive on touch.  It is one of the greatest healers.
