My Deborah is getting snippy with me.

Post by Bruce Atchison - autho » Tue, 09 Apr 2013 09:57:34

Hi folks;

Deborah keeps chewing on my carpet runners on purpose. She figures she
should get some of my banana but I know what that would do to her rear end.

I got her back by nudging her tail with my toe. That got a growl out of her
and she bounded away under the table.

A couple of days ago, I put my foot down by the table and my toes curled
over her hind foot. That made her growl and run for cover. That poor girl. I
hope things get better between us soon.

Sincerely,

HI

We put sacrificial mats down which he bunny can chew. Carpet tiles are
excellent as they can be cut to size. We make sure they are chewing it and
not the fitted carpet! They all quickly learned the rules; and even sniff
the carpet to wind us up on occasion.

I wonder if giving something new to chew would improve Deborah's mood. What
if I gave her some clean straw in a toilet paper tube? I know straw has no
nutrients but it would give my bunny lady a new chewing experience. BTW, I'm
finding bits of carpet on the floor so Deborah isn't eating it. What a
relief.

Hi Bruce...how is Deborah's overall health? Chewing and grumpiness can be a
symptom of pain or discomfort of some type. How old is she now? I don't mean
to alarm you, but better to look into it. How is she behaving over all? Is
she moving about normally?

God Bless,
Arlette
