unbelievable.

i bet it didn't take too long to get to that amount either.  hope they're
not sick.  what in the world did they all eat?!

holy cow!!! i thought the five hundred a few years ago that i got bucky
from a petsave rescue was alot!! people are so stupid sometimes. this
poor woman having people dump them over her fence to add on... oye!!!!!

Yeah, I heard about this story and was just shocked... I cannot even
imagine what that many bunnies look like running around in a yard.
 From the article it looks like they have made themselves burrows as
well, so, I imagine that is not going to be an easy rescue by any stretch.

We were contacted about these rabbits back in December. We were told
there were around 1500 rabbits. I almost choked hearing that number. I
figured it was a bad estimate.

We are in Southern CA, this is so far away from us. Too far to help.
Too many rabbits to even know what to do with and right after Katrina
too. So many rabbits were needing help after Katrina, and now to add
another 1500.. Whoa.

I started calling around to contacts in the HRS. These contacts started
spreading the word. (Bless June Booth, she's a saint. Going to Slidell
after Katrina was worth every tear, I got to meet her.) Other people
were calling too, and thankfully Best Friends got involved. I am so
glad that Best Friends was able to step up to the plate and help. God
Bless them.
