Hi folks;

The following post comment might upset some but it shows that my messages
about bunnies being wonderful pets is getting through. Here's the response
to one of my posts.

Several weeks ago when my father and I went out to lunch to celebrate
Easter, one of the items on the menu was a rabbit stew. Although this
sounded good, after reading all your posts about your bunnies and rabbits in
general, I couldn't bring myself to eat one. Thank you for your insights
into these creatures. I look forward to reading more.

I hope that many more people will learn about our long-eared companions and
come away with a different point of view.

Sincerely,

That's good that you make people get to know rabbits more as companion
animals as much as cats and dogs. Good job Bruce!

Hi

We get upset when High Dining food programs like Masterchef have rabbit on
the menu. OK they're eating farmed animals but doesn't that make it all the
more upsetting now that we know rabbits much better.

Thanks, Arlette. I sometimes wonder if I'm making any headway. That woman's
comment has given me hope that I'm doing some good somewhere.

It reminds me of a time when I stood on one of Edmonton's light rail transit
platforms. As I waited for the next train, there was a pause in the traffic
for about ten seconds. I suddenly heard the high-pitched voices of frogs.
They were continually singing their timeless song but I couldn't hear them
before due to the traffic noise. Let's hope there will be a pause in the
racket from high-powered writers and our bunny blog posts will find readers.

Let's hope that HRS and other rabbit advocates can turn the public off of
that menu item. If there is no demand, there will be no supply.
