Why would anyone want to keep rabbits in the first place.....?
I had a rabbit once but unfortunately my dog ate it!

I thing a lot of people don't know enough about rabbits. Many
people still think they are rodents but they are no longer. People also
think that because they are prey they are skittish, wimpy little animals
that should be kept in a cage all the time. Maybe if you knew more about
rabbits you would know how to properly introduce a rabbit and a dog and
you would be able to see just how intelligent, playful, and wonderful a
pet rabbit can be. It's too bad that so many people buy rabbits not
realizing that they are more complex to care for than they thought and
eventually lose thier rabbit to disease or a dog attack or they just give
them away. I am thankful for this newgroup. It has taught me a lot and
thanks to it my Willis is playful, friendly and healthy. The End.

They are cute, cuddly, clean, comical, quiet, defenceless and, most of
all,  *VEGETARIAN*  ...........  so, the answer to the question lies
within your own statement really!

If you don't understand why anyone would want to keep rabbits
why did you have one at all and why was it UNFORTUNATE that your dog
ate it? I would have thought you'd be happy ... one less meal for
the dog and no more snuggly, loving,***ing, jumping, funny bun-bun!

Have a nice day :)
