This is an awesome newsgroup, and I have spent all day reading posts and
checking out web sites. Thanks for all your help people! I have a
question though. My current pump frankly, sucks. I am looking for a
new pump for my 150 gallon pond, and would like some advice on which
brands would be better, where to find them, specifications, etc. I have
been surfing the net, and I find that pumps usually are accompanied by
biofilters, but I have nowhere to put one that would look good.
Alternatives? Thanks again for your help.

Check out: www.aqua-mart.com for an in-pond filter by Beckett or
www.plantplace.com has a home made job. I also have instructions on a
bucket filter, if you would like them.

For out of the pond filteration, where the pump is in the pond, but the
filter is out there is a fake planter, see: www.thatpetplace.com or
www.petwhse.com (I can't remember which one has it). It also can be
replicated DIY cheaper, but if you see the original version gives you an
