well for the last couple days we have had some windy days, 60--70 mph
gusts, the bad news is it took my 14x50 back porch off, and sent it
north somewhere it went over the house, accross the fromt of my 5 acres
arcross my neibors 10 and kept going, I cant find most of it, my fromt
yard looks like a lumber truck had a wreck out there.

the good news it missed my pond and gardens,  the pump was plugged in to
an outlet on onne of the posts and it broke the flex line at the pump,
so I had to jerry rig a line to the filter.did no real dammage, unless
you consider about 3" of water blowing out of my pond dammage. one wild
afternoon!
guess this is what its like living in Kansas

Wow, John!!!!!  I hope everyone is OK!  These kinds of winds aren't
"normal" for you are they?  Was it just high winds or storms with winds?

I can empathize, John.  We are in Kansas too.  Our pond is above ground and
luckily not damaged.  Wish I could say the same for the rest of the place.
Needless to say, getting the veggie filter built and going, the building of
the deck around the pond and everything else associated with the pond is on
hold while we make repairs to the rest of the place.  Luckily we didn't
suffer roof damage~~seems like most of the houses in our town did.
