I've got the cheapest tiel toys of all for my pet***atiel. He enjoys
chewing on and destroying popsickle sticks, and toothpicks.

I bet he gets more pleasure out of them than he would out of a very
expensive toy too.
I too try to find cheap chew toys for my birds.

He does, have a plastic ring toy, with each of the five rings interlocked,
but doesn't play with that at all.

One thing I won't let him do is chew on electrical cords, cause if he would
happen to chew through the outer layer or layers, and would get an
electrical shock he would most likely die from the shock.

I'm still not going to take chances, as I would rather have a live and
spoiled***atiel than a dead one.

My tiel also as an interlocking ring toy. he only plays with it if I
give it to him otherwise he doesnt care much for it I suggest wooden
beed bird toys.

my tiel also has a ring toy.. he likes to play with it when ever we "forget" to
uncover him in the morning.. or when he is ontop of the cage, he will find the
hook of it and pull it up and drop it.... i think he just likes to make me go
fetch for it..

higher then them or he will starting making tons of noise... or if you leave
him in a room by himself...

I know the feeling. Every so often my tiel will get the idea, he is king of
the roost and start squawking like there is no tomorrow. I then put him in
the cage, and and cover the cage for awhile.
