Anybody still around?

Post by Bruce Atchison - autho » Thu, 29 Sep 2011 10:50:41

Hi folks;

Does anybody still check these groups?  I sure miss the old days when these
groups were filled with interesting posts.  Facebook and forums just don't
cut it like newsgroups, at least for me they don't.

Sincerely,

I'm with you.  This is a different kind of interaction, and it hasn't
really been replaced adequately.  I'm still here, but don't post much in
this group.  I'm reasonably active in only one group these days
(rec.arts.comics.strips) and post occasionally in rec.roller-coaster,
and that's about it.  None of my other groups are really populated.

Thanks for your reply, Heather. I'm glad somebody still checks these groups.

I subscribe to quite a few groups but most of them are empty. The only one
that has a lot of traffic is alt.pets.rabbits.  Even then, I don't have much
time to check that group.
