Toilet paper tubes make great toys.

Hello folks;

I thought I'd post here as there aren't many new ones.  I don't have mice
but I remember how much fun my hamsters had with toilet paper tubes.  I used
to change the cage and let them run around in the bath tub.  To keep them
entertained, I would save toilet paper and paper towel tubes for them.
Those little animals had such fun running through them, peering over them,
nibbling the edges, and exploring them.  I wish I had a video camera back
then.  Their antics were so cute.

By the way, my rabbits love tossing those tubes around and I also stuff them
with hay.  It keeps them busy and causes them to eat more hay.

Sincerely,

Toilet paper tubes are still an all-time classic mouse favorite.
Sometimes they incorporate them into their nest, giving it a roof.
Another thing I've found mice to like is some strips of paper towel.
They enjoy shredding them further and adding them to their nests.

My rabbit has never been much interested in toilet paper (or paper
towel) tubes, but I haven't tried stuffing them with hay.  Maybe I'll
try that sometime.
