->Do you think I should'nt smoke in my room? Might help me quit.

It certainly will not make them healthier. Not good
for you, not good for them.

Hi,
Well, I've just bought my first hamster. It's really cool I have'nt
named it yet. Any suggestions? It's a boy.

It's not tamed yet either. Anyway, I reckon that maybe it'll like me
playing classical music and maybe some nice soft jazz, but I reckon
it'll freak out if I play anything like dance or jungle music.

Do you think I should'nt smoke in my room? Might help me quit.

Since you are asking for opinions, mine would be do NOT smoke in the room
in which you keep the hamsters.  Why take the chance.

Congratulations on your new hamster!   The best piece of advice is to
use patience with your new little friend.  It takes some time to tame
hamsters, and the more patience that you show now, the better the
friend you will have later.

Soft music is fine.  I would think that you friend is probably more
concerned about the new smells, and the giant hands that periodically
come down to touch him.   Always make sure to wash your hand before
trying to touch him -- if your hand smells remotely yummy, then he
might decide to try to take a bite.

Quitting smoking is a very good idea for both you and your hammy - he
has tiny little lungs and the smoke may make him more liable to get
all sorts of viruses that can kill him.

Good luck with your new friend!!
