REPOST: Overweight Piggie (?)

Post by Alison Pric » Thu, 04 May 2000 04:00:00

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this newsgroup so I apologise is advance if I make any mistakes
in protocol etc.

Firstly let me tell you a little about myself. I have a little (?!) male GP
called Jerry who lives with a Netherland Dwarf Rabbit called Jemima. The
problem is that I've recently been trying to get Jemima to eat more
vegetables and hay etc to provide her with a little more fibre in her diet
to try and prevent a recent attack of Diarrhoea recurring but Jerry always
jumps in first and eats it all. As a result he's now getting a rather porky
piggie and I was worried that he may now be getting overweight. Does anyone
have any tips on how to tell what weight a piggie should be? I think Jerry
is a long haired coronet but am not sure. Is there any way I could maybe put
him on a diet whilst still getting the bunny to eat her veggies?

Thanks for any advice you can give

Alison, Jerry and Jemima!
