Squeaky.com Rip-off Resolved!

I did say that I would keep you all posted, so I'm glad to say that the
owner of this page was finally convinced to remove his page. He asked me to
let everyone know that he apologizes for using our content and didn't intend
any harm. Because he didn't have a scanner or digital camera to create his
own pictures with he was planning to use ours temporarily but eventually
realized that wasn't exactly right.

I just want to let each person know that either wrote to us personally,
posted to alt.pets.guinea-pigs, or even wrote to this author how much we
appreciate your support. It shows how many people on the internet were
actually concerned and we're so grateful for that. As far as the temporary
page that's up at his page now, I pretty much made it myself based on the
text he sent me and he asked that any future comments be sent to

His link is  http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/4871
Squeaky.com is http://members.xoom.com/Squeaky

Way cool!  I'm glad this is resolved so quickly.

Oh no! What happened?  I can't go to Squeaky.com anymore.  I keep
getting an Error 404 URL can't be located.

I doubled checked my bookmarked squeaky.com address and that didn't work
either.

=( caca grande

As far as anyone getting an Error 404 error, Squeaky.com definitely exists.
Don't forget that the S in her name must be capitalized. The correct link is
http://members.xoom.com/Squeaky  and you might also want to try clicking
reload and see if the page works. I do know for certain that other people
are able to visit the page. Please get back to me if the problem persists,
because it may have been a temporary problem with the server when you tried
to visit. They just moved all their servers into a new facility so you never
know.

I was able to access Squeaky.com just now, following the link above.
Possibly something was down somewhere when you tried, Chicken Lady, that's
the nature of the internet beast :)

I think  that what you have done for him is mighty generous.  Given the stunt he
pulled on you, you have gone above and beyond the call of friendship and
kindness.  Give yourself a pat on the back.  Tidal7, you are a very kind and
generous person.

Nice of you to say that. Thank you. The thing that I realized was that this
kid who turned out to be 14 wasn't out for the sole purpose of screwing us
over which was shown by his willingness to get rid of our things on his site
once I (and everyone else that wrote him, thank you) told him what was wrong
but instead learned a valuable lesson in plagarism. I'm just glad everything
worked out in the end so just keep enjoying our Squeaky.com
