How are all the little fuzzbutts out therre in ferret land

How are you, Steve?  Always great to hear from you (and others).  I do check
this group each day. I hope you and your ferrets are well.  :)

My 2 girls are doing just fine.  Here's something that I think is cool.
Since ferrets are mostly silent, each of them has devised a way to call me
from the cage if they want some gravy meal or if they just want to get out
and play...sometimes I get home and don't attend to them quick enough. They
hear me in the house so they call me.  heheheh

Jackie will use her nose and keep pushing the food dish against the water
bowl.  This makes a loud clinking sound.

Mia has some plastic golf balls in the cage that she will play with.  One of
them has a jingle bell inside. If she want's me she'll keep knocking that
around and I hear loud jingles.

Because I always come whenever I hear these sounds, they have both learned
how to call me.

I also know if they are hungry or just want to play.  Licking their
lips/nose indicates hunger.  If no***ing, they just want out to play.
