New Cobalt Blue & Trinidad Pink Toe

I just received my new tarantulas today at the office.  The Trinidad
Pink Toe is very nice.  She must have been asleep when we unpackaged
her because she didn't want to move.  We finally managed to out her in
her terrarium and she appears to be settling in.  She walked around
briefly on my hand while I was trying to get her to stay in her
terrarium.

The Cobalt Blue was a different story.  One of my co-workers was
assisting me with the tarantulas and he was about to open the cobalt's
shippng container when I reminded him that the lid says "fast and
aggressive".  He didn't think any thing of it then I wondered why the
pink toe was in a container by it's self and the cobalt was buried
under paper towel.  We decided it would be best to put the container
in the terrarium and then remove the paper towel to let the spider
crawl out on it's own.  The moment the spider saw us it tried to
attack our hands.  We rethought the procedure and turned the container
on it's side and tried to remove the paper towel with tweezers.  We
managed to get it half way out of the container before the cobalt
started attacking the towel.  We waited until she had moved off of the
towel and managed to extract it.  Now she's hiding in her shipping cup
and I'm debating on whether or not to leave the cup in there.  It
makes a good retread, but since they're burrowers I don't know if she
will use it or not.  Very pretty spider and lots of drama too!  At
least I've managed to find a way to keep people from coming in my
office now.
