Hi,
I'm a new member from Hungary.
I'have only six kind of tarantulas.
My first questions are :
-Wich is the most  dangerous tarantulas(if  they bite us)?
-Have been bite here somebody by po. fasciata,or pt. murinus?

I've never been bitten by anything, but I *think* Poecilotheria sp's,
Stromatpelma sp's, and maybe even B.emilia have the worste venom of tarantulas.
Still, none have ever been fatal to humans....

hope this helps,
Nick

I think the real dangers is if have a ALLERGIC REACTION to that T's venom.
There is no way of know what T you could be allergic to so I would play it
safe and don't handle the easily angered species.

Poeci. fasciata and Poeci. ornata are said to be the worse to get bit
by, no one has died from it but i have heard of one case where a Poeci
bite induced a short comma. from the first hand accounts ive read on
murinus bites it sounds like alot of localised pain and swelling for 3 -
24 hours followed by stiffness in the joints for a month. a bits to the
hand caused swelling to almost the sholder in one case.
ive kept all 3 and have come close to getting bit by murinus, i use
caution with the poeci since they dont allways do a threat display
before biteing.
