Unfortunately, it is common behavior for the male to pluck the female in a
breeding situation. It's usually a temporary tantrum, with the male telling the
female to "get on with it." I'm adopting several***atiels today, including a
female whose head and neck are totally *** except for the crest. (Her body is
intact too.) But sometimes that's "life" when you don;t have perfectly
compatible***atiel pairs.
