My 'tiel also gets pretty active with his toys just before bedtime.
He will still play with toys during the day, too. He is a mirror-***ed
bird and loves to play with a rotating mirror, but I wouldn't suggest that
for your birds. He also likes anything with small beads on it and bells that
are shiny and noisey. One of his favorite toys is one of those metal bead
chains they sell as pulls for lightbulbs. You can buy them at a hardware
store for about a dollar.
It sounds like your 'tiels have no trouble entertaining themselves
anyway if they have plenty of humans around to do their bidding!
