I only have 1 year of experiance with my lovebird.

In all my reading about any breed, I have never heard anything like this.
I can only and strongly suggest contacting your avian vet.

Please... if you every find out what is causing this please share it so
we know.  If my lovebird turned white, I know I would be in a panic until
the problem was solved.  I wish I could help.

This sounds like calcium deficiency, and the condition sounds
chronic, like bundle up the lovebird and drive to an avian vet
immediately.  Probably, the avian vet will administer calcium in the
office, and certainly in the form of calcium supplements for daily
diet.

I know of a Macaw that laid so many eggs in such a short time, she was
hospitalized.  The egg-laying caused a severe calcium deficiency.

Both our "boys", a 'tiel and a lovebird, get calcium as part of their
vitamin regimin, and, of course, they aren't even laying eggs.
