Opinions on "Cages by Design" cages

Post by Harry Muscl » Sat, 16 Nov 2002 01:43:11

I was wondering what peoples opinions are about the cages from "Cages by
Design" (www.cagesbydesign.com).  If you've read my last post (Home made
cage ideas ...) you'll know that I'm thinking of building my own cage and I
really like their concept.  So I'm more interested in what people think of
the concept (front and back acrylic, sides and top bars) than on the
quality, etc. from the company.

Thanks for the feedback,
Harry

P.S.  Here a link to the cage from "Cages by Design" that I'm thinking of
making:

I've thought about getting one to use as an indoor avairy for my finches.
I'm not sure how good they would be for a larger bird. Looking at the
website it looks like they started making cages for large reptiles, not that
this means those cages would be bad for birds... I don't have enough money
right now to get one though.

Acrylic is BAD. Think of when the parrots scream...where does the sound
reverberate to?  BACK AT THE PARROTS!!!  They look nice but are BAD.

If they don't like it they can just shut the hell up.

Anyway - regardless of the design, stay away from these people. I've tried
to order a cage the entire last year. They do not answer at all. Answering
machine always on. E-mails sent to them seems to enter the big, black
hole.
