My Noble Macaw wants to Kill my Woman

Yeah, it's no joke, and she's not the first female humanoid on
Scooter's hit list.  I bought Scooter from a bird shop in 1989 and the
story then was hauntingly similar to the current scenario.  The bird
was owned by a young, married couple.  It hated the wife and bonded
with the husband.  You can figure out what happened.

Every relationship I have been in since has felt the force of
Scooter's demands.

Lately I'm living in a small apartment.  Bird be dive bombing Amy;
Amy runs for cover and can never relax.

I love the birds (there's a mellow Mollucan in the mix), but...

Help.

Help.

I had the same problem with a blue fronted amazon that I owned.  This bird had
a very troubled past and was almost neuritoc.  The bird hated my husband and
would exscape from his cage and tear my husbands hair out by the roots when he
was napping on the couch.  It took a long time (6months) to rid him of this bad
behavior, and about 9 months for my husband to grow in the bald spots but what
I did after much research was.......I placed a tshirt that my husband was
wearing into the birds cage.  I would replace the shirt once a week.  After a
while the bird became used to the scent and slowly i was able to work with the
bird while sitting on the couch next to my husband.  I showed affection to my
husband whiel holding the bird and eventually the bird decided that my husband
was not his favorite person but he accepted this human,  I never had another
problem with the bird outright attacking my man.  Good luck and I hope that
this may help some

Another suggestion ... clipping his wings might not *solve* the whole
problem, but it would at least keep him for dive-bombing Amy, and as an
added advantage, clipping a birds wings generally takes the wind out of a
bird's sails attitude-wise as well. Simplest resolution -- leave the bird
in its cage when Amy is there.
