We had the same problem with our umbrella***atoo.  It is now very nicely
under control....  When we had a new furnace installed, I got an electrostatic
air filter to go with it.  Clean the filter OFTEN and set the furnace fan to
run constantly, whether the heat's on or not.  Vacuum frequently.  Bathe your
bird regularly.

Every surface in our house used to be off-white.  Now we only seriously Vacuum
& dust about once a week.

Good luck!

Michael

We have a wonderful bird.  His area looks like a disaster,
but we can accept this.  A bigger problem is the feather
dust that seems to get all over the house.  Any ideas how
to improve this?  We have used air cleaners, which help,
but they tend to blow the dust away as much as suck it up
and filter it out.  In a new house we are building, we
thought we might put a vent to the ba***t under his
cage, with a fan and filter to suck a low volume of air
directly down (unlike the air cleaners which blow stuff
horizontally).  Any advise on this?

thanks

We take Shadow, our CAG into the shower with us daily. Haven't
noticed dust from him. Our furnace does have built in filters that
we wash in the dishwasher monthly. Norma
