Q: AFRICAN GREY FEATHER PLUCKING?

I have eleven (11!) greys that don't pluck and only one that does. The hen who
does  pluck did so because her mate intimidated her. I didn't realize it until
the damage was done. She's by herself (temporarily) and the male has another
mate.

Of the 11, two are young Greys I handfed from two weeks of age. Smokey is
nearly four, and KoKo just turned three. When I started a new job right after
last Thanksgiving, I worried if the new schedule would frustrate them because I
was gone a lot more than before. Smokey started aggressively climbing around
his cage from top to bottom, and I was petrified that plucking would be next.
But it never happened. Instead he plucked my recliner (chair) ***. Sigh.
