A friend sent me this pic, that I thought was kind of cute and unusual,
so I asked him for permission to show it here:
http://www.pbase.com/nstacey/rph
He is in NC, USA, and says:
"Was walking around one of the many lakes and ponds <
around here when I saw the duck and turtle. Saw a few ripples in the <
water and WOW!! it was a bloomin' snake. Then the rascal climbed up <
the side of the log and found a comfy spot ...<
This very small lake has a bunch of interesting creatures all of the <
time. Canada geese, white swans, turtles, good-sized fish that hang <
out at the shallow edge of the water [about 6" deep], snakes that seem <
to be patrolling the pond, rabbits, ducks, whatever. But I never saw <
this combination before. Had my wife's camera so the image was small. <
Had to select that pic from the larger one that I took and 'enlarge it'
quite a bit. That's why it's fuzzy"

Your monitor is too dark, not the picture. Great picture! How rare for such
a thing to happen, was not blurry at all, quality looked fine to me.

Too efficient with the shadows!  You see almost as much detail
underneath the log as on top!  Even the snake throws a shadow
**under** the log!
Curious, eh?

Neat photo regardless, just shouldn't have worked it over so much.
