Post by Christophe » Tue, 24 Feb 1998 04:00:00

Hi!

I have 1.1 leopard geckos (they live together) but they won't eat the
grashoppers, mealworms, or pinkies anymore. They haven't lost any notable
weight the male ate 1 pinkies 4 days ago, nothing else
for 2 weeks!!!
They started to eat vermiculit so I took it out.The excretion is normal but
of coarse
smaller. I don't know what they are eating,I havn't noticed that they have
eaten anything strange!!!They ignore the food

Whats their problem??????????

I forgot to  tell you,
they are anxious to get out. They are crawling on the sides of the cage.
I have had the male for 1,5 years and the female for 4 months.
They ate good and lived together, but then suddenly this happened.
They are both ***ly mature.

Please help (I'm not desperate yet ,but I'm starting to get worried)

Are they experiencing any stress? My female barely ate for a month
(with no apparent harm) when I moved her tank to a high-traffic area
of the house. It took her at least another month to really start eating
good again after I moved her back. Are your temps warm enough and does
she have at least 12 hours of light per day? Have you had a fecal test
done to rule out parasites?
