While there seem to be a few posts about unusual behavior I might
as well ask about the one I've been wondering about for a while. I have a
young black rat snake about 3.5' long who acts very oddly, he has little
particular preference as to whether or not his head is right side up and
often wanders around with his head somewhat sideways. His eyes have a
tendency to look upwards, if he starts looking at me his eyes will start
sliding upwards and he'll jerk them back down repeatedly. He also seems
to have a strong reaction to different temperatures and will jerk back if
you touch him if he is any colder than you. I've had him for about 7
months and he's always been like this. He eats well and doesn't seems to
really have any problems, so I don't think it's a disease or anything.
I'd guess it is just a wierd genetic difference which affects his brain in
some way. So, does anyone out there know anything aobut this?
